The facade of the project is inspired by the image of a lotus flower blooming on the surface of West Lake, combined with the woven shell material like the image of endlessly moving ripples, creating a symbolic architecturea process but also reminder of familiar features of Hanoi culture.
On the vertical surface, the woven glass layers gradually shift the tilt of the glass module from 6 degrees to 3 degrees and finish with simple flat glass. The gradual transition of the knit layer from low to high resembles the effect of a blooming lotus.
The work gives an impression of laminated glass casing, creating light effects from different perspectives and different times of day.
